PRE-BAPTISM CLASSES – Baptism classes help prepare first time parents (and others) for bringing their child up in the faith, selecting godparents, and introducing or reviewing with them the special sacrament they are requesting for their child from the church. Baptism Day is truly a blessed, exciting, and joyful day for parents, child, families, and the church. Classes are held on the last Tuesday of each month, with few exceptions. The next class is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall. Parents or soon-to-be-parents MUST BE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF HOLY TRINITY PARISH. Those wishing to attend a Tuesday class must call the rectory to register, 269-8791. 

SUNDAY BIBLE SCHOOL - Class will take place in the Church Hall on Sunday, January 21 and 28 during the 10:00 AM Mass.

MARCH FOR LIFE ( HARTFORD ) A Mass for Life will be celebrated at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church , Hartford , at 9:00 AM on Monday, January 22. Following Mass, March participants will meet outside the Capitol Building at 11:30 AM (the March begins at Noon). BIRTHRIGHT INVITES YOU TO AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING, on Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 PM at the Birthright of Greater Meriden-Wallingford Office, 72 Catlin Street , Meriden .. CATHOLIC SCHOOLS PRAYER

(Catholic Schools Week begins January 28)

Dear Lord,

   Bless those who work and learn in our Catholic schools. Give our teachers the grace every day to be models of You to all they meet.    Give our students the desire to learn their lessons, and also to grow closer to You through our Mother and our older siblings, the Saints. Give our administrators the guidance they need, to balance the needs of the school with a life modeled on You and Your compassion.    Give our school parents the understanding, to make the most of school based in You for the academic and spiritual lives of their children. Amen..

Second graders will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Monday, January 22 at 7:00 PM. Please keep them in your prayers. Science Fair projects for grades 6 and 8 will be due Thursday and Friday, January 25 and 26.

 - HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL HOLDS “OPEN HOUSE”-

Located at 11 North Whittlesey Avenue , Most Holy Trinity School has begun registration for full-day kindergarten for the 2007-2008 school year. The kindergarten program runs from 8:10 AM to 2:25 PM. Holy Trinity School offers children a quality, faith-filled education for a lifetime.

   The School will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, January 28 at 10:00 AM The Open House is for prospective students in kindergarten through grade 7. Monday’s CCD Class-Grades 3 & 4 will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Monday, January 22 and Tuesday’s Class-Grades 3 & 4 will receive on Tuesday, January 23rd. Reconciliations will be done in the Church. 

MOUNT 2000 PARTICIPANTS are reminded they should attend the orientation meeting in the Church Hall on Sunday, January 21 at 5:30 PM. 

HOLY TRINITY WOMEN’S RETREAT begins on Friday, February 9 at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat in Farmington . There is still time to make a reservation. Ladies, give yourself the gift of quiet time to “hear God’s voice.” For information call parishioner, Joan Morico, 269-0517.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP will gather together at the Parish Center on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00 PM. The group meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. ALTAR CARE COMMITTEE is seeking volunteers to help keep the Sanctuary and Altar areas in tip-top shape for our Liturgies. If you would like to help with altar care, the Committee meets after Mass each Wednesday morning. For more information, please contact Ginny DeBaise at 269-3788.

ALTAR SERVER BOWLING TOURNAMENT will take place on Saturday, February 10th. Details will be in the upcoming mailing. 

“KNOW YOUR FAITH SERIES: EMERGING LAY MINISTRY” will be presented by the Caritas Christi Center on 295 Benham Street , Hamden . The topic is based on the latest survey/study of the National Pastoral Life Center in New York , with a focus on the future of parish life and those who minister. Presented by Rev. PETER & PAUL CHURCH, WALLINGFORD INVITES MHT PARISHIONERS TO ENJOY A TRIP TO THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MUSEUM FRIDAY, JANUARY 19 Take a trip to the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven to see three exhibits: Crosses and Crucifixes, The Swiss Guard history, and mangers of Pope John Paul II. “OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP” NOVENA – You’re invited to a Solemn Novena in honor of “Our Mother of Perpetual Help” for 9 consecutive Wednesdays beginning January 31st to March 29th at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road/Route 80, East Haven. Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Guest Celebrants, Recitation of the Rosary, Sermon, enrollment in the Brown Scapular, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation (on days announced). On March 28, a Solemn Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in honor of Our Mother of Perpetual Help will be celebrated, followed by candlelight Procession.
