Those wishing to attend a Tuesday class must call the rectory to register, 269-8791.

MASS BOOK FOR YEAR 2009 The scheduling of Masses and Sanctuary Lamps for our loved ones, living or deceased, for the year 2009 can be arranged beginning Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Due to the number of requests for Masses, scheduling will take place in the church hall at 9:00 AM until all present are served. After that time, Masses can be scheduled during office hours, 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. You may stop by or call, 269-8791. At times, the process is slow because we try to be as accurate and efficient as possible. PLEASE, PRAY FOR US!  PLEASE ALSO REMEMBER… There are many families who wish to remember their loved ones, and as you know, we have condensed our Mass schedule. Please make it a point to consolidate or limit your intention requests, especially among you and your family members, which will help us avoid duplicate intentions. Please prayerfully remember there are others who would like an opportunity during the year to offer their intentions. Thank you in advance for this consideration! IMPORTANT!!! There are no Masses or Sanctuary Lamps available throughout 2008.

CATHOLIC CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE WEEK    FEBRUARY 10-16 Catholic Celebration of Marriage Week and World Marriage Day honor husband and wife as head of the family, the basic unit of society. This celebration salutes the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily-married life. It also is a very positive way to acknowledge the sacredness of the vocation of marriage as a sign of God’s love for all in the Church and society. Parishioners are asked to pray for the married couples they know, especially those facing challenges. Couples are asked to pray for your spouse and your marriage. Attend Mass or pray the Rosary together this week. Every young adult or adult can offer to baby-sit for a couple you know so they can spend a few hours together.

MARRIAGE PRAYER & BLESSING Almighty and eternal God, you have so exalted the unbreakable bond of marriage that it has become the sacramental sign of your Son’s union with the Church as His spouse. Look with favor on our married couples, whom You have united, as they ask for Your help and the protection of the Virgin Mary. We and they pray that in good times and in bad they will grow in love for each other, and that they will resolve to be of one heart in the bond of peace. Lord, in the struggles let them rejoice that You are near to help them in their needs. Let them know that You are there to rescue them. in their joys let them see that You are the source and completion of every happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITIONS OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES TO SAINT BERNADETTE Monday, February 11, 2008

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF LOURDES

O Immaculate Virgin, mother of mercy, health of the sick, refuge of sinners, comforter of the afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings; look upon us in mercy.By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes to Saint Bernadette, you were please to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and many have already obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain for me, O loving Mother, what I request (here mention your request). Through gratitude for your favors, I will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that I may one day share your glory. Our Lady of Lourdes , Mother of Christ, you had influence with your divine Son while upon earth. You have the same influence now in heaven. Pray for me; obtain for me from your divine Son my special request if it be divine will. Amen
