THE SAINT JOSEPH MEDAL OF APPRECIATION

The Saint Joseph Medal of Appreciation is given by Archbishop Henry J. Mansell each year to a specific volunteer from parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford. This Medal of Appreciation is awarded to an individual who has given outstanding service to the Parish or School Community.

We are happy to announce that Archbishop Mansell will present this year’s Saint Joseph Medal of Appreciation to: Mr. Richard Cassello. Richard is a life long parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Parish. He is a Trustee of Holy Trinity Parish, a member of the Finance Council, Bazaar Committee, Building and Grounds Steering Committee, and had been involved in many other fund raising endeavors and committees of the parish through the years. We are grateful to Richard for his time and talents that he has shared with so many of us and in so many capacities. The Saint Joseph Medal of Appreciation will be presented by Archbishop Mansell on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 3:00 PM, in Saint Joseph Cathedral in Hartford . Parishioners and friends are cordially invited to attend the ceremony.

NEW MEETING DATE FOR TRINITY LADIES CLUB The TLC meeting (originally scheduled on Thursday, February 22-postponed due to inclement weather) has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, at 7:00 PM in the church hall. Remember… new members are always welcome, so why not invite a friend??? Following the meeting everyone is invited by FATHER GARY to join him in church for a LENTEN SERVICE. In preparation for our journey through Lent, Father will encourage us to “spiritually” cleanse ourselves so that we may properly celebrate the Promise of the Risen Christ. All members will proceed back down to the hall where a video entitled “A Piece of My Mind” starring comedian, Chonda Pierce, will be shown. Refreshments will be served. (NOTE: The Maintenance Committee will also be working around this meeting in hall and church during this same time.)

CONSIDERING ADOPTION? - Catholic Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that has worked with families to place children in adoptive homes for over 85 years. The agency is looking for flexible and nurturing families who can open their hearts and homes to an infant. If you would like to learn more about adoption, an informational meeting will be held on March 21, 2007 at Catholic Charities, 56 Church Street , Waterbury , from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Please call Nadine Behmke at 203-755-1196 ext. 110 in the Waterbury/New Haven office or Mary-Beth Dobmeier at 860-257-4335 in the Rocky Hill office to register or if you would like more information. Fees for the adoption program are calculated on a sliding scale. There is no charge for the informational meeting.

“RICE BOWLS” are available at all exits of the church. All adults and children (those who did not receive one either through Holy Trinity School or Religious Education classes) are asked to please make a sacrifice to help the needy. Please participate in this beautiful act of charity and self-sacrifice.
