“NEW” ….BAZAAR SPONSOR CLUB Invitations have been mailed to businesses, families, and individuals who have graciously sponsored our Parish Bazaar, in the past, as well as others who might be interested. For those who are not on the mailing list, the committee felt it necessary to introduce everyone to the new BAZAAR SPONSOR CLUB… and repeat the information in the bulletin… as well as a REMINDER to those who have yet to reply… and GRATITUDE to those who have!!! The “Traditional Bazaar Sponsor” is being offered a NEW professionally-painted 18”x24” sign displaying your business name, family names, friend’s names, etc. for a donation of $50 (the cost of which has remained the same for more than 25 years.) This year the bazaar sponsor committee is offering a 3’x5’ colored banner, personalized with a digital image (logo, photo, etc.) from a memory card or CD for a donation of $250. Samples are available that could be designed for any business, individual, families, friends, special announcements or occasions, baby pictures, etc. Anyone interested in further information, or wishing to be a sponsor, is asked to call the sponsor coordinators, either Jim or Jeff Citak, 265-6907, NO LATER THAN THIS TUESDAY, MAY 8. In addition to all signs and banners being displayed throughout the week of the bazaar, June 3-9, on the mid-way… the information chairpersons, will urge everyone in attendance to patronize and/or thank ALL sponsors during the hours of the bazaar through the public address system. Also, a special bazaar program will be printed up along with our parish bulletin (1700 copies) listing all sponsors and distributed to parishioners at weekend Masses. WITH APPRECIATION Bazaar Raffle Coordinators, Kevin and Marie Buno, and their committee wish to express their gratitude to all members of our parish family who have made their ticket returns. To date 1354 chances have been sold totaling $6,770.00. Returns – sold and/or unsold – can be made either by mail to the rectory, placed in the offertory basket or brought to the rectory and dropped in the mail slot located on the front door. The success of the raffle is important to the total parish. Please make every effort to purchase and/or sell at least the 10 tickets you have been given. Should you wish additional tickets please stop by the rectory during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. IMPORTANT REMINDER!!! The State of Connecticut requires that EVERY TICKET STUB INCLUDE: Both the first and last name of ticket purchaser. Complete street address. Town, state and zip code Telephone number It is acceptable to use return address labels or address stamps if all the required information is on them. The telephone number is to be printed below the label or stamp. Failure to carry out the above instructions could give the State the right to revoke our license to sell tickets in the future. As a parish family we would suffer a great loss if we lost this privilege. The raffle is the most profitable fund-raiser from the bazaar. The proceeds enable us to continue to maintain our parish buildings and make the needed improvements. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE OUR PARISH BAZAAR A SUCCESS… prayers? …good weather? …lots of raffle tickets sold? …delicious food? …great prizes? …fun rides? …a Saturday kiddies matinee? …generous sponsors? …arts & crafts? …a candy shoppe? …a –win-a-prize-every-time-fish pond? …a warm welcome to everyone who comes to our bazaar? If you answered “YES” to all of the above questions you are absolutely RIGHT!!! (Keeping in mind, it’s the Lord’s “will” that decides on the weather conditions… but it’s up to us to offer up our prayers to Him… for a lot more than the weather). How about our volunteers? Do we remember to thank the Lord for all they do to make the Parish Bazaar a success (rain or shine)? Would you believe there are at least 100 volunteers that work each night at the bazaar and this doesn’t include those who “work behind the scenes” making plans since last year, setting up and taking down booths, ordering and/or preparing food, making arts and crafts, getting raffle tickets to every registered parishioner, giving up 3 weekends to sell ride tickets at reduced prices, baking for the Cake Booth, returning on the Sunday morning after the bazaar to help put things away in preparation for the next Holy Trinity Parish Bazaar and much, much more!!! Our volunteers are the “ANGELS” that make our bazaar the success it is and has been. None of the above questions could be answered with a “YES” without their help… some, of whom have worked year, after year, after year! If you’re able and available why not say “YES” and become a parish bazaar volunteer??? You’ll be surprised how much fun it can be… even if you can give only ONE night or the matinee. It’s not the amount of time you work that gets you your “wings” …it’s just the fact that you took the time to VOLUNTEER!!! ALL IT TAKES IS A PHONE CALL TO LINDA CITAK, PERSONNEL CHAIRPERSON, 265-6907. Let Linda know when you are available to work and where you would like to work. In turn she will make it convenient for you and will either give you a chairperson to contact or contact the chairperson herself. “ANGELS” work in food and game booths, the Country Store, ticket booths, kiddie korner, candy shack, donut booth, set-up and/or clean-up. “NEW DAY” / OUR PARISH BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP will get together this month on May 16 and 30. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM at the Parish Center . If you are experiencing the loss of a loved one, who has passed away recently, or even years ago, please join us in prayer and consolation. Call Eva Colon 294-9398, or Chick Kelman, 265-4546 for more information about the group.
