The school board will meet on Monday, May 14th at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center . Tuesday, May 15th is the last day to purchase tickets to Sports’ Night. Grade 8 students will participate in the Rotary Club Essay Contest on Tuesday night, May 15 at 7:00 PM at Dag Hammarskjold school. Grades 4 and 5 will go to Sturbridge Village on Wednesday, May 16. Kindergarten will sponsor a bake sale on Wednesday, May 16. The students will attend the Ascension Thursday Mass, May 17. The casual day donations of Friday, May 18 will go to the Relay for Life. CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN (CCC) SECOND COLLECTION-MAY 19/20 The Catholic Communications Campaign collection helps support our Archdiocesan media outlets here in Connecticut : The Catholic Transcript (the official Archdiocesan newspaper), WJMJ Radio, and also for the Office of Radio and Television, which produces the televised Mass for the elderly and homebound. We ask you to pray for this mission of evangelization, and be a part of sharing the Good News to people throughout the Archdiocese and the nation through your generous support. CHARISMATIC PRAYER MEETING will be held in the church on Monday, May 21 at 7:00 PM. HEALING AND HOPE MASS – Are you in need of physical, emotional or mental healing? * Games of skill include Milk Can Pitch, Apple Dart, Cat Rack, Bean Bag, Kiddie Korner, etc. Any games where balls, rings darts, etc., using your skill as opposed to you “luck”. Children, under 16, are allowed to be in these booths with an adult supervision. Games of chance include the Month Game/Baked Goods, Bingo Game/Groceries allow anyone over 18 years age to work in Games of Chance, only “luck” is involved in these type of games. ATTENTION INTERESTED PARISH FAMILY MEMBERS – There are several captains (food booths, too) who could use HELP!!! Don’t be shy you might even recognize some of the names, above, or even know them. If working in a booth, food or game, is not “your thing” why not give Mike a hand working “back stage”. Booths always have to be well-stocked and everyone’s needs must be met…especially Mike’s …if you can get him to “slow down”. Peter and Paul Church ( 239 North Orchard Street ) at 4:00 in the afternoon. The procession will take place through the streets of the town to Most Holy Trinity Church . Along the way, various stations will afford opportunities for prayer and Benediction. Come and join us for this beautiful public profession of our faith and unique opportunity to ask God’s blessings on our town. Get ready for outdoor summer fun! “NEW”… KIDS MAKE A DIFFERENCE GROUP FORMING- Ashley Farina, a Grade 4-Holy Trinity School, will be starting a brand new community service organization for children ages 8 and up called Kids Make a Difference. We will be working with the United Way of Wallingford/Meriden to complete various service projects. Our first meeting will be held at the Wallingford Park and Rec. Department, Tuesday May 15th at 6:00-7:30 pm. For our first project we will be collecting items for our military to make care packages. We will need items such as gum and candy, playing cards and games, lip balm, sunscreen, DVD's, magazines, and batteries. If you are able, please bring at least one item for our troops. PARISH COUNCIL – The Council meeting that was postponed on May 1 is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 PM in the church hall. BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT SUBMISSION DEADLINE– Those wishing to have an announcement posted in the parish bulletin should have their WRITTEN COPY (preferably typed) into the rectory no later than Monday, 2 PM, for publishing in the following Sunday’s bulletin. IDEALLY, bulletin announcements should be submitted at least TWO WEEKS in advance so that ample time is given to publicize your activity/event to our parish members (several times if space is available). Please remember to include event name, date, time, location, and a brief description of your activity, as well as a contact person and a phone number where they can be reached during the day, and any other points of information, i.e. costs, fees, ticket availability.
