OPTIONS FOR ADOPTION SUPPORT GROUP meets on the third Sunday of the month. Those families who have already adopted or families interested in learning the adoption process are encouraged to attend the next meeting to be held at the Parish Center on Sunday, May 20, from 3:00-5:00 PM. MASS AT REGENCY HOUSE will be celebrated by Father Gary on Monday, May 21, 10:00 AM. Volunteers who assist the residents to and from Mass are asked to please be at the home no later than 9:45 AM. 

CHARISMATIC PRAYER MEETING will be held in the church on Monday, May 21 at 7:00 PM.

Grade 6 will go to the Bridgeport Science Museum on Thursday, May 24. They can be picked up at school at 2:45 PM. 

The students will not have school on Friday, May 25 as teachers will be attending a Faculty Prayer Day.

BLESSING OF THE BIKES SUNDAY, MAY 27

Bring your tricycle, bicycle, unicycle… or cruise down on a dirt bike or motorcycle. All bikes will be blessed on Sunday, May 27, after the 12 Noon Mass on the south-side parking lot (near the fire escape on the rectory side of the church). Get ready for outdoor summer fun!

PARISH COUNCIL – The Council meeting that was postponed on May 1 is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 PM in the church hall. 

“NEW DAY” / OUR PARISH BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP will get together this month on May 23 and 30. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM at the Parish Center . If you are experiencing the loss of a loved one, who has passed away recently, or even years ago, please join us in prayer and consolation. JOIN THE EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION ON THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI , SUNDAY, JUNE 10 There will be a special outdoor Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday, June 10, 2007. We will begin at SS. Peter and Paul Church ( 239 North Orchard Street ) at 4:00 in the afternoon. The procession will take place through the streets of the town to Most Holy Trinity Church . Along the way, various stations will afford opportunities for prayer and Benediction. Come and join us for this beautiful public profession of our faith and unique opportunity to ask God’s blessings on our town. Church ministries, and parish committees and organizations are encouraged to participate with members of their group. Contact Fr. BIRTHRIGHT MOTHER’S DAY ROSE SALE was a great success! Many thanks to the response of the parishioners of Most Holy Trinity!  Birthright extends its thanks to ALL who supported and assisted with the annual rose sale benefiting expectant mothers and their babies.

BIBLE SCHOOL: COME, JOIN OUR BIBLE JOURNEY!

The Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education is now taking registration for adult bible classes beginning in September, 2007. Registration period: May 15-August 15. Early registration is advised, since the complete registration process takes about two weeks, including mailings. Number and location of classes also depend on registration. MERIDEN COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN will be holding their annual dinner on Tuesday, May 22 at the Aqua Turf Club, Mulberry Street in Southington . A delectable family style dinner of Turkey and Baked Scrod will be served at 6:30 PM. Dinner entertainment will be provided by the Bristol ’s Old Tyme Fiddlers Club. THEOLOGY ON TAP: Serving the finest in Speakers, Conversation and Theology, presents Father Peter Lynch, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Bridgeport, who will be speaking on “WHAT IN GOD’S NAME ARE YOU DOING?: Discernment and Vocations As Reflection of Each Other”. P.N.A. MAY DANCE – The MAZOWSZE, the Polish folk group of Polish National Alliance Lodge 513, will sponsor the May Dance on Sunday, May 20, 2007. This event will be held at the PNA Hall, 15 Prince Street , Wallingford . Music for polka and modern dancing will be provided by Ed Zolkiewicz and the Crystalaires Orchestra from 3-7 PM. Polish foods will be available throughout the dance. The donation of $9 per person at the door benefits the group’s expenses. Families are welcome! Children 10 years old and younger are free! BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT SUBMISSION DEADLINE– Those wishing to have an announcement posted in the parish bulletin should have their WRITTEN COPY (preferably typed) into the rectory no later than Monday, 2 PM, for publishing in the following Sunday’s bulletin. IDEALLY, bulletin announcements should be submitted at least TWO WEEKS in advance so that ample time is given to publicize your activity/event to our parish members (several times if space is available). Please remember to include event name, date, time, location, and a brief description of your activity, as well as a contact person and a phone number where they can be reached during the day, and any other points of information, i.e. costs, fees, ticket availability. BAZAAR MEETING AND SOCIAL TUESDAY, MAY 29

ALL BAZAAR CHAIRPERSONS, COORDINATORS, BOOTH (Food & Game) CAPTAINS….. 

You are urged to attend this business meeting/social to discuss plans and changes for this, OUR 27TH ANNUAL PARISH BAZAAR, that will be held June 4-9. Following the meeting everyone is invited to stay for Pizza, Soda, Beer and Wine and to take the time to meet or get re-acquainted with other members of our parish family…many of whom you will be seeing throughout the week of the bazaar. (Be sure to extend an invitation to your wife/husband or girlfriend/boyfriend to join us for this meeting and pizza party!!!)

A lot of planning goes into this meeting for the purpose of keeping everyone “in the know”. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND!!! If it is not possible for you to attend please send someone in your place who would be willing to take notes for you of any changes as well as pick up hand-outs such as: a list of all bazaar personnel and their roles as well as their phone numbers, rules & regulations from the bazaar steering committee, rules  & regulations specified by the State of Connecticut, security changes, a new method of identifying bazaar workers, maps of the mid-way, etc., etc.  This is also the best time to see Linda Citak, Personnel Chairperson, if you need workers. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THIS IMPORTANT MATTER TO THE LAST MINUTE!!!

RIDE TICKETS are being sold, following all Masses this weekend, next weekend and ending the weekend of June 2-3. Beginning this Monday, May 21, sales will also take place at the rectory, during office hours, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, weekdays only (excluding Memorial Day, May 28) up through Friday, June 1. Tickets in sheets of 15 will be sold for $8.00… a $2.00 $$$savings $$$ per sheet. ($10 at the bazaar). Small children rides will need 2 tickets. Older children/adult rides will need 3 or 4 tickets (depending on the ride). The ticket sales, sold in advance on weekends, will end following the Mass in Spanish, 2:30 pm, June 3. 

FOOD TICKETS are sold in advance on the same dates and times as the Ride Tickets in sheets of 20 one dollar tickets for $18.00. Be sure to buy in advance for another $2.00 $$$savings$$$ per sheet.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT (JUNE 6) IS “ZITI NIGHT” IN THE CHURCH HALL

ADVANCE TICKET SALE on same dates and times as Ride and Food Tickets (see above) with no discounts. Tickets are limited! (This is the advantage of bring your tickets in advance). If not OLD OUT… tickets will be sold at the Bazaar Ticket Booth on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

 - Dinner served 5:00 – 8:00 PM    – Eat-In…or…Take-Out –    Rain or Shine    –    (Pray for No Rain!)

RAFFLE RETURNS!!!  Kevin and Marie Buno, Bazaar Raffle Chairperson, reported that 2,628 tickets have been purchased to date for a total of $ 13,140.00. They wish to remind those who have yet to make their returns to please do so as soon as possible either by mailing them to the rectory, 68 North Colony Street, placing them in the offertory basket or dropping them into the mail slot located on the front door of the rectory. Appreciation is extended to those who have made their returns sold and/or unsold. Anyone wishing additional tickets to buy and/or sell is asked to stop by the rectory during office hours.

“SPREAD THE WORD” to the creative members of our parish family, THAT YOU KNOW OF, reminding them to ‘SHARE THEIR GOD-GIVEN TALENTS” by making something for the Bazaar “COUNTRY STORE”.  Whether they crochet, knit, make floral arrangements, ceramics, paint, etc., etc. encourage them to make at least one hand-made item. Donations may be brought to the rectory during office hours.

James, jellies, preserves, home-made candy or fudge can also be made for the “SWEET SHOPPE” located in the Country Store and don’t forget costume JEWELRY is also a “good seller”.

DONATIONS!!! DONATIONS!!! DONATIONS!!! Groceries, (non-perishable) are needed as prizes for the GROCERY BOOTH/MONTHGAME and may be left in church near the statue of St. Joseph . (Please check the expiration date of what you donate).And, for those who bake, we wish to remind you to shop for the ingredients of whatever your recipe calls for in order to make something for the CAKE BOOTH/BINGO GAME. Cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, breads, etc. are given as prizes in this booth.Please remember…both of these booths depend, totally, on your donations as prizes in order to make a 100% profit. Donations may be brought to the rectory, during office hours, or brought directly to the booths anytime during the bazaar.

“DUNKEES WANTED”!!! Kim Pisani, captain of the ‘DUNKIN’ BOOTH” at the bazaar, again is making her unusual but FUN request. As Captain she needs plenty of volunteers throughout the week that are willing to get “dunked”. In order to keep her booth in operation every night of the Bazaar as well as at the Matinee she needs to schedule the “dunkees”. So…all “good sports” in the parish who are willing to help Kim… are asked to please give her a call as soon as possible @ 269-0546.
