HELP AVOID A BLOOD EMERGENCY – GIVE BLOOD!

The summer months – and holidays in particular – are always a time of low blood donations, with vacations and warm weather activities keeping folks away from blood drives. This year is no different. Yet, patients can’t take a vacation from the treatments they need. Blood is used for numerous reasons, for people of all ages – premature babies… organ transplants… cancer patients… burn victims… heart patients… car accident victims… the list goes on. Won’t you consider making an appointment to give blood? Donating will only take about an hour of your time, and costs nothing. Please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE today and set up an appointment that’s convenient for you, and celebrate this important time of the year by giving back to those in need.

THE HARVEST IS RICH, BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW. Ask the harvest master to send workers into the harvest. Pray for vocations! Is God calling you into the harvest? Call Father Al Fonatana at the Archdiocesan Vocation Office, St. Thomas Seminary, Bloomfield , CT , 1-860-286-7670 or visit the web at www.vocationshartford.org.
