GOD BLESS THE MOST HOLY TRINITY CLASS OF 1962 Attending the 10:30 AM Mass this Sunday are members of the Holy Trinity School Class of 1962 who are celebrating their 45th reunion. We ask that you remember in prayer those living and deceased class members and their teachers who gave them guidance.

THE RCIA PROCESS We announce that the RCIA Process, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, will begin again in the Fall at Most Holy Trinity Church. At this time, we invite those individuals who may be interested, to please contact us at the Parish Office, 269-8791, for further information. The RCIA Process is for adults 18 years and up.
WHAT IS THE RCIA PROCESS? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, commonly known as the RCIA Process, is the way in which adults become full active participating members of the Catholic Church. It is a process in which those individuals who want to become Catholic receive the sacraments of the church. The letters “RCIA” stand for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The Rite or Process as it is called, of teaching adults the Catholic Faith is not new. It dates back to the early days of Christianity in the life of the church. One of the chief characteristics of this process is that in the RCIA, the whole parish community takes a part in the development of the faith of the candidates.
WHO IS THE RCIA PROCESS FOR? Those persons who are unchurched or unbaptized, single or married, family members of catholic parishioners who wish to become part of the Roman Catholic Community of Most Holy Trinity . Non-Catholics who have shown an interest in the Catholic Church and would like to become a Catholic. 3 Catholics who were baptized but never raised in the church and have not received the Sacraments of Penance, Communion or Confirmation. Also, those adults who have not practiced the faith for years and would like to be updated in the Catholic Faith.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? Those who are interested in knowing more about the RCIA Process or would like to register for the program are asked to contact the Parish Office, 269-8791. Please note: You are not committing to anything at this time! We would like to have the opportunity to explain this process to you and answer any of your questions. The whole process will begin in the Fall and will be completed at the Easter Vigil in the Spring of 2008. We would encourage you at this time to think seriously at this time about he RCIA Process.

THE SPIRITUALITY OF AGING CONFERENCE, sponsored by the CT Interfaith Network on Aging, will be held on the beautiful and tranquil grounds of Mercy Center at Madison on Tuesday, September 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. Come join Father Jeff and fellow parishioners for a wonderful day of family fun, filled with excellent music, talks, workshops, Mass, Reconciliation, and Eucharistic Adoration. There are a limited number of $10 group rate tickets available at the rectory and it’s first come, first serve –so sign up today!

CHEWING GUM – please place your gum in a wrapper and discard it in the wastebaskets before you enter church. CUPS & BOTTLES – should not be brought to church or left behind. TALKING IN CHURCH BEFORE and AFTER MASS – please keep in mind that your brothers and sisters in Christ are praying. Enjoy your conversation outside. Thank you! While in CHURCH it is essential that each one of us take the time to be thoughtful and reverent for it is the House of God.

PLEASE DON’T TAKE A VACATION FROM MASS….When you go on vacation in the summer, do you take a vacation from Mass? Do you make the days of summer lazy by staying home on Sunday? Here are four reasons to fit Mass into your summer schedule:

1. After Jesus’ resurrection, his followers formed the early Church by gathering and keeping his message alive. Every time you attend Mass, you help to keep Jesus’ message alive- but that can only happen in church.

2. At Sunday Mass, millions of people you don’t know are praying for you and with you. Where else can you get that king of help?

3. Attending Mass connects you to the Communion of Saints – the saints in heaven, the souls in purgatory and believers on earth. That’s powerful company.

4. Mass is the way a Catholic fulfills the commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day. If God tells you to do something, you should do it.
