We are looking for new members in every voice part. There are no formal auditions, just call and speak to Rick Fowler, Director of Music Ministry. His office phone number is 284-1745. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:30 -9:00 PM and then the choir sings on Sunday at the 10:30 AM Mass. You need not have a “solo voice”, only a willingness to be at rehearsals and take part in this important ministry of the parish. Please give joining the choir your consideration. ATTENTION EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS… Midstate Medical Center is looking for Special Ministers of Holy Communion to serve their patients. ALTAR SERVER RE-TRAINING AND TRAINING FOR NEW SERVERS… Two dates have been made available for those who have yet to schedule their re-training session: Monday, August 27 or Thursday, September 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Church. All altar servers should return their form ASAP with their choice. NEW Altar servers will be training at the Thursday, September 6th date as well. Altar servers should be at least in the 4th Grade, have received their First Communion and have made a commitment with their parents and family to dedicated the weekend to serve about twice per month. ADULT CONFIRMATION PROGRAM DEADLINE APPROACHING- Offered by the Archdiocese of Hartford Office of Religious Education, locally at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Hamden , beginning Thursday, September 6, for those who have made their First Communion, and who are over the age of 18. Registration forms are available at the rectory during office hours. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Monday, October 29 in the St. Thomas Seminary Chapel. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program will begin on Sunday, September 9th. The RCIA Process is for adults 18 years and up. The process consists of approximately 25 sessions and is held following the homily at the 10:30 Sunday Masses from September through April. Clergy and laity serve as catechists.
