“NEW DAY” / OUR PARISH BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP will get together on Wednesday, September 5 and 19 this month. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM at the Parish Center . If you are experiencing the loss of a loved one, who has passed away recently, or even years ago, please join us in prayer and consolation. PRE-BAPTISM CLASSES – The next class is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 25, at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall. Parents or soon-to-be-parents MUST BE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF HOLY TRINITY PARISH. Those wishing to attend a Tuesday class must call the rectory to register, 269-8791.

The Rectory Office will be closed on Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day. The office will re-open on Tuesday, September 4th at 9:00 AM for regular office hours.

On the weekend of September 15-16, we will celebrate Catechetical Sunday. The theme of our celebration is “Catechesis: Encountering the Living Christ.” During our tribute we will commission catechists during our 9:00 AM Mass on September 16. We will also recognize the role parents and guardians play in handing on the faith to the children and youth in our parish. Take a minute and thank our catechists for all they do to share the light of faith with our children, youth, and adults.

ALTAR SERVER RE-TRAINING AND TRAINING FOR NEW SERVERS… The next and final re-training session for altar servers will be on Thursday, September 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Church. NEW Altar servers will be training at the Thursday, September 6th date as well. Altar servers should be at least in the 4th Grade, have received their First Communion and have made a commitment with their parents and family to dedicated the weekend to serve about twice per month. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… ARTS & CRAFTERS NEEDED TO MAKE ITEMS FOR THE ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR – Are you willing to donate a few hours once a week to create the spectacular items we sell at the A& C Fair we see every year? The TLC Crafters (Trinity Ladies Club) invite you to join them on Tuesday, September 4 in the Church Hall from 7-9 PM If you can cut, paste, glue or sew they can use a hand. (You need not be creative, projects are made available to you.). Call Donna Mierzejewski, 265-0881 for more information about the projects or the crafting times. Arrangements for those who would like to make projects in their home rather than coming to the church hall can also be made.

CRAFTERS… First come basis-Rental space for $40, each craftsperson is entitled to an 8 foot table and chairs… $35 if you bring your own display set up (spacing 9x3’). Each participant is asked to please donate a craft for the parish raffle valued at no less than $10. This craft fair is limited to the sale of hand-crafted items and prepared items like potpourri, spices/herbs, jellies/jams/candies, etc. (no bake sales). Exceptions are only made to parish or community organizations with items being offered as fund-raisers, non-profit. Applications and particulars are available at the rectory. MEN, SPEND SOME TIME WITH YOUR BROTHERS IN FAITH AND FELLOWSHIP THROUGH A HOLY HOUR AND FELLOWSHIP EVENING FOR DADS All fathers of Holy Trinity children and teens are invited to join Father Jeff for a special evening prayer and fellowship. This Holy Hour for Dads will take place on Tuesday, September 4th at 8:00 PM in the Parish Center Chapel on 25 North Whittlesey Avenue . CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR DEDICATED REGENCY HOUSE VOLUNTEERS !!! All volunteers of Most Holy Trinity Parish who visit the Regency House of Wallingford were recently awarded a plaque honoring them for their many years of service. The group was presented with the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities’ Group Volunteer of the Year Award. The plaque will be placed in the church hall. Congratulations to our dedicated Regency House Volunteers. God bless you for your dedication in helping bringing faith, cheer, and companionship to the homebound at Regency House. “ABC’S OF ANNULMENTS”, an informational program designed to answer questions about the process of Annulments, will be held on Friday, September 28 from 7:00-9:00 PM in St. Joan of Arc Church , 450 West Todd Street , Hamden . ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY is an annual celebration by the Archdiocese of Hartford to honor couples who will be observing their 25th, 50th, 60th, or other special wedding anniversaries this year. Couples wishing to attend this special Mass in the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, Hartford , on Sunday, September 23 at 3:00 PM is asked to register by calling the rectory office at 269-8791. Archbishop Mansell will celebrate the Mass. During the Mass couples will renew their marriage vows. A simple reception will follow at the Cathedral. REMEMBERING THE 6TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ATTACKS ON THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

On September 11, 2007, we will mark the 6th Anniversary of the attacks on the United States of America . A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Most Holy Trinity Church at the 7:00 PM, remembering those who died on that day at the World Trade Center , the Pentagon in Washington , D.C. and in Pennsylvania . We urge all our parishioners and friends to attend this Memorial Mass. This is a day of remembrance and prayer for the protection of our country and its citizens.

HOLY TRINITY ADULT CHOIR will begin their regular rehearsals on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:30 PM in the choir loft. We are looking for new members in every voice part. There are no formal auditions, just call and speak to Rick Fowler, Director of Music Ministry. His office phone number is 284-1745. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:30 -9:00 PM and then the choir sings on Sunday at the 10:30 AM Mass. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program will begin on Sunday, September 9th. The RCIA Process is for adults 18 years and up. The process consists of approximately 25 sessions and is held following the homily at the 10:30 Sunday Masses from September through April. Clergy and laity serve as catechists.
