The office will re-open on Tuesday, September 4th at 9:00 AM for regular office hours. On the weekend of September 15-16, we will celebrate Catechetical Sunday. The theme of our celebration is “Catechesis: Encountering the Living Christ.” During our tribute we will commission catechists during our 9:00 AM Mass on September 16. We will also recognize the role parents and guardians play in handing on the faith to the children and youth in our parish. Take a minute and thank our catechists for all they do to share the light of faith with our children, youth, and adults. ALTAR SERVER RE-TRAINING AND TRAINING FOR NEW SERVERS… The next and final re-training session for altar servers will be on Thursday, September 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Church. NEW Altar servers will be training at the Thursday, September 6th date as well. Altar servers should be at least in the 4th Grade, have received their First Communion and have made a commitment with their parents and family to dedicated the weekend to serve about twice per month. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… ARTS & CRAFTERS NEEDED TO MAKE ITEMS FOR THE ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR – Are you willing to donate a few hours once a week to create the spectacular items we sell at the A& C Fair we see every year? The TLC Crafters (Trinity Ladies Club) invite you to join them on Tuesday, September 4 in the Church Hall from 7-9 PM If you can cut, paste, glue or sew they can use a hand. No school on Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day. Kindergarteners begin school on Tuesday, September 4th. The fall fundraiser begins on Wednesday, September 5th. This is a Room Parent’s Meeting at 7:00 PM followed by a Committee Chairperson’s Meeting at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5th in the faculty lounge. Band students will present a music demonstration on Friday, September 7th during school time. Each participant is asked to please donate a craft for the parish raffle valued at no less than $10. This craft fair is limited to the sale of hand-crafted items and prepared items like potpourri, spices/herbs, jellies/jams/candies, etc. (no bake sales). Exceptions are only made to parish or community organizations with items being offered as fund-raisers, non-profit. Applications and particulars are available at the rectory. All volunteers of Most Holy Trinity Parish who visit the Regency House of Wallingford were recently awarded a plaque honoring them for their many years of service. The group was presented with the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities’ Group Volunteer of the Year Award. The plaque will be placed in the church hall. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Most Holy Trinity Church at the 7:00 PM, remembering those who died on that day at the World Trade Center , the Pentagon in Washington , D.C. and in Pennsylvania . We urge all our parishioners and friends to attend this Memorial Mass. This is a day of remembrance and prayer for the protection of our country and its citizens. HOLY TRINITY ADULT CHOIR will begin their regular rehearsals on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:30 PM in the choir loft. We are looking for new members in every voice part. There are no formal auditions, just call and speak to Rick Fowler, Director of Music Ministry. His office phone number is 284-1745. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:30 -9:00 PM and then the choir sings on Sunday at the 10:30 AM Mass. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program will begin on Sunday, September 9th. The RCIA Process is for adults 18 years and up. The process consists of approximately 25 sessions and is held following the homily at the 10:30 Sunday Masses from September through April. Clergy and laity serve as catechists.
