“NEW DAY” / OUR PARISH BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP meets in October on Wednesday, October 3 and 17. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM at the Parish Center . If you are experiencing the loss of a loved one, who has passed away recently, or even years ago, please join us in prayer and consolation. PRE-BAPTISM CLASSES – The next class is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 25, at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall. Parents or soon-to-be-parents MUST BE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF HOLY TRINITY PARISH. Those wishing to attend a Tuesday class must call the rectory to register, 269-8791. 

MASS AT REGENCY HOUSE will be celebrated on Monday, September 24, 10:00 AM. Volunteers who assist the residents to and from Mass are asked to please be at the home no later than 9:45 AM. 

TV MASS – Father Jeff has been asked to celebrate the televised Mass for the Archdiocesan Office of Radio & Television on Friday, September 28 at 10:00 AM at the studio in Prospect. Anyone who would like to be part of the “studio congregation” is most welcome. A carpool will be leaving the church parking lot at 9:05 AM that morning.

OUR LADY OF CHARITY ICON TRAVELS TO MOST HOLY TRINITY On Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day), the traveling icon of Our Lady of Charity will be coming to Most Holy Trinity Church . We will have a special prayer service with the icon at 9:00 AM (after the 8:30 AM Mass). Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Monday, September 24 is the feast of Our Lady of Mercy. Casual Day money on this day will be donated to the Mercy Missions. 

Grade 2 parents will attend a sacraments meeting on Monday, September 24th at Holy Trinity Church at 6:30 PM. 

Money and orders for the fall fundraiser are due on Wednesday, September 26th. 

There will be a sports meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 28th. Parents must bring birth certificates, insurance information, and a $30 player fee. This is for fall and spring sports.

Grade 2 Meeting for Parents and Teachers will take place on Monday, September 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the church. Packets will be passed out at this meeting. Babysitting will be provided in the church hall.

Fund raiser orders and payments are due by classes: Saturday, September 22, Monday, September 24, and Tuesday, September 25. Thank you.

STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN.....WARNING…. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING IN THE LOT BEHIND DON’S BARBER SHOP PLAZA on the Weekend of September 29-30 due to Celebrate Wallingford. Per Rick Myers, of Wlfd. Center, Inc, this location will be for the food court this year. This may affect those attending Mass during Celebrate Wallingford hours.

TEEN LITS / LIFE IN THE SPIRIT SEMINAR FOR TEENS – All high school students who have already been confirmed are invited to participate in a special Life in the Spirit Seminar for teenagers to serve as peer ministers. You must be able to commit to meetings from 4:00 to 6:30 PM on Sunday afternoons for 8 consecutive weeks beginning on Sunday, September 30th. CCD “READY-TO-WEAR” SOCK AND COAT DRIVE Check your closets and drawers for any NEW or SLIGHTLY USED, (but CLEAN AND READY-TO-WEAR!) socks and coats. Then bundle them up and drop them off at the CCD Office, 1st floor of Holy Trinity School . Donations will be taken until Saturday, October 27. Call the CCD office with questions at 265-6300.

TRINITY LADIES CLUB PRESENTS…

APPLE EXTRAVAGANZA

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16 7:00 PM  (Doors open at 6:30 PM) IN THE CHURCH HALL  

On Tuesday, October 16, TLC will hold its monthly meeting and APPLE EXTRAVAGANZA! Members and the public are invited. Doors open at 6:30 PM and Apple Festivities begin at 7 PM in the church hall. Join us for a ladies night out and have some fun. Come prepared to support our Apple Raffle with many gifts, gift certificates and gift cards donated by local Wallingford businesses. Our Apple Raffle is one of our biggest fund raisers this year to help support local non-profit organizations. Please join with us for an evening of fun and entertainment. Admission is free. Bring a friend. There will be Apple Games to play with Apple prizes awarded. Apple Drinks and Apple Desserts will be served and available with compliments of our Hospitality Committee members.  “ABC’S OF ANNULMENTS”, an informational program designed to answer questions about the process of Annulments, will be held on Friday, September 28 from 7:00-9:00 PM in St. Joan of Arc Church , 450 West Todd Street , Hamden . Brother Larry Lussier, CSC, Pastoral Associate at St. Gabriel Church, Milford , will be the presenter. There will be a question and answer period following the presentation. 50th REUNION FOR THE CLASS OF 1957 OF MOST HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL will take place the weekend of October 6-7. Classmates will attend the 4:00 PM Vigil Mass that Saturday, especially remembering the deceased members of the class, and the teachers who gave them guidance. Located at 139 North Orchard Street and continuing the procession to The Johanna Manfreda Fishbein Gazebo town green from 12 PM until 2:00 PM, where the rosary will be recited and prayers said for all nations of the world. MASS FOR LIFE WITH ARCHBISHOP HENRY MANSELL / RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2007 CATHEDRAL OF ST. JOSEPH, HARTFORD    AT 2:00 PM At this Mass, parish pro-life representatives gather to pray with Archbishop Mansell for our ministry and to welcome new representatives who are to be commissioned. The Children’s Choir, under the direction of Dr. Ezequiel Menendez, Director of Music for the Cathedral, will be featured on this day. Please pray for the unborn, elderly, the disabled and the sick.

CONNECTICUT RIGHT TO LIFE STATE CONVENTION COURTYARD MARRIOTT, CROMWELL / SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27 The afternoon and evening will be filled with pro-life speakers and activities. Robert Schindler will share with us the drama and the critical issues involved in the 2005 death of his sister, Terri Schiavo, in Florida . Georgette Forney, a co-founder of “Silent No More” will review that organization’s uniquely simple message – abortion is bad for women. The keynote speaker at the evening banquet is Father Tad Pacholczyk of the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia who will bring you up to date on the latest developments in embryonic stem cell research and human cloning.
