CATHOLIC DINNER CLUB is for married, single, divorced, widowed, or non-Catholic adults ages 21-100+. Is purpose is to support its members in their Catholic Faith. Dinners are held at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell on the second Saturday of every month. Dinner reservations must be made by the first Friday of every month. The cost is $25 per non-member; $20 for members. Both dinner and a significant Catholic topic are included in the evening. EUCHARISTIC YOUTH RALLY 2006 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28
1:00-9:00 PM Living the Love of God In the Eucharist, In One Another The youth of the parish are invited to participate in this special local rally, which promises to bring spiritual enrichment and excitement in being present with God and with other area youth. Events include the celebration of the Mass; Music by the R.O.C.K. Group (Revival of Catholic Kids), dynamic speakers and witness talks, a special team challenge game with cash and prizes, and a special Candlelight Adoration and Procession of the Holy Eucharist. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS / RCIA PROGRAMIf you, or someone you know of is interested in the Catholic faith or Catholic who has not yet received First Holy Communion or the Sacrament of Confirmation…please call Linda Scala, Coordinator, at 949-0799. This process consists of approximately 25 sessions and is held following the homily at the 10:30 Sunday Masses from September through April. Clergy and laity serve as catechists. HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL HAS SOME OPENINGS AVAILABLE Holy Trinity School, 11 North Whittlesey Avenue, Wallingford is currently accepting applications for the 2006-2007 academic year. Openings exist in grades 1 and 2. There may be select openings in other grades. For over 90 years, we have offered a quality Catholic education program for students in grades K-8. There will be a full-day kindergarten program beginning in September. Our kindergarten for this year is full. We will begin registration for kindergarten 2007-2008 in September. THE CHURCH OF TOMORROW IS IN THE HANDS OF THE RELIGIOUS EDUCATORS OF TODAY– If you are ready to share your knowledge of our Catholic faith with our students, and can spare just a few hours a week, Fran Selmecki, our Religious Ed Coordinator is looking for your help. Teachers are needed in each of the following grades: Grade 5 Teacher – Mondays, 3:15 to 5:00 PM Grade 4 Teacher – Tuesdays, 3:15 to 5:00 PM Grade 8 Teacher – Tuesdays, 6:45 to 8:00 PM ** Also, teachers are needed for our Sunday Bible School program, which meets in the church hall during the 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays beginning in the Fall. NOTE TO EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS & LECTORSJust to keep you informed – we will be having a meeting of each ministry during the month of September. The purpose of this meeting will be to acquaint you with some new procedures for Mass and to go over the new guidelines for Eucharistic Ministers from the Archdiocese. You will be notified as to the date and time of the meetings in advance. ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASSES are being offered by the Archdiocesan Religious Education Office this Fall. Two sessions are being offered:Tuesday Sessions: September 5, 2, 19, 26 and October 3, and 10 at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, 7-9 PM Thursday Sessions: September 7, 14, 21,28 and October 5, and 12 at St. Joan of Arc Church in Hamden, 7-9 PM There is a $15 fee to cover the cost of the books (paid at class). An information/registration form (available at our rectory office) must be completed in full and submitted before the first day of class. Father Gary’s signature is needed at the end of the form, indicating that he has seen the completed form and approves it.

ARCHDIOCESAN BIBLE SCHOOL BEING OFFEREDThis program is intended for adults who wish to meet the Lord in a deeper way through Scripture, and who seek the assistance that a guided journey provides. The Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education is now taking registrations for classes beginning in September 2006. The registration process must be completed at least two weeks before Orientation Day, Saturday, August 26. CATHOLIC YOUTH SPECTACULAR Save September 23 for “Abundant Harvest: Catholic to the Core” (for junior and high school students) on the grounds of St. Thomas Seminary, Bloomfield, 1:30-8:00 PM. Cost is $20pp ($25 after Sept. 8). Father Norman Fischer, the Rock Band, and STOMP will help us reflect on and celebrate the core of our Catholic Faith.
